I was saying that last night at Shadowdock, a 30-minute light-and-sound show in the Thompson dock, that long and frightening pit that sits at the end of the ‘Maritime Mile’ path through Titanic Quarter. There’s atmospheric music, a nice waffly voiceover, and moving lights of many colours and patterns. It only cost a fiver. There weren’t even that many people there so there was loads of space. It was freezing and the kids were a little bored, but I’ve seen them a lot more bored.

I absolutely loved it. It’s something special to see an artistic spectacle that‘s been designed for single location. My favourite part was when the Seatruck ship glided surreally past us in the background. Still a few nights left to catch this.
